Apple iPhone 5 To be launched in this September 2011

Last year, apple's event in September saw a new line of iPods, a  Apple TV, and iTunes 10. The event was pretty much dominated by the iPods. However, this year the story could be a little different if the news from Bloomberg is to be believed.

Bloomberg has boldly claimed that the "iPhone 5 is scheduled hit the market in September". It also suggests that the device will run on a new A5 SoC (System on Chip) consisting of a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and a PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. The camera module on the phone is also expected to get a much-needed upgrade. However, the report only says that the new version will have a more advanced camera. I think this could mean an improved sensor, or maybe an 8 megapixel camera.

The report also reveals that the iPhone has accounted for half the company's revenues in the last year. This is reason enough for any manufacturer to launch a newer version.
