Cheap Android tablets seem to be raining in India, these days. After the recent launch of Reliance 3G tablet, Beetel Teletech, a Bharti Enterprises group company has launched an Android tablet called Magiq,at Price of 9,999.
Beetel's Magiq has a 7-inch screen and runs Android 2.2. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and packs in 8GB of internal memory, expandable upto 16GB using microSC cards. Photography and video needs are taken care of by 2-megapixel cameras at both front and back, coupled with WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity. The table also offers calling facility using the 3G sim card. For extra navigation, Magiq sports a navigational trackpad too.
One welcome addition to the tablet is that its bootloader is not locked and can be customized by anybody without much hassle.
Beetel Magiq customers will enjoy free 3G data connectivity for both prepaid and postpaid connection with a limit of 2GB for 2 months from date of purchase on Airtel. It will be available in the stores from next week onwards. The tablet is not locked on to the Airtel network and will not be upgradable to Android 2.3.
