Motorola Fire XT Pops Up In India

Motorola's Fire XT hasn't been officially announced yet, but can now be bought in India thanks to online shops. This phone is basically an entry-level Android running on Gingerbread, and is considered a direct challenge to the likes of the Optimus One, Wildfire S, and Galaxy Ace.

The Fire XT is powered by an 800 MHz CPU, coupled with 512 MB RAM. It has a 3.5" display with pixel dimensions of 320x480, a 5 MP rear and a front-facing VGA camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack, and microSD cards up to 32 GB. The gadget measures 4.5" (l) x 2.5" (w) x 0.5" (d), and weighs approximately 114 grammes.

The phone is targeted at budget buyers who want to try out droids without investing much money. The device is currently only available through Infibeam (Rs 12,000) and Flipkart (Rs 13,000).
