Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia, has announced that the latest Nokia Windows Phone devices will be available starting from Q4 2011, according to AllNokia. The roll out for different countries will occur like previous Nokia devices – in a sequential order.
Also, as part of the Nokia Windows partnership, the upcoming Nokia WP7 device will have certain features that will set it apart from the other WP7 devices. For example, navigation, mapping and entertainment will make the product ‘uniquely Nokia’. News about the exact availability dates haven’t been disclosed, but considering Nokia has a large market share in the Indian sub-continent, it only makes sense that the devices come by fall, this year.
Let’s have a brief rundown on the major news expected from smartphone manufacturers towards the end of this year: Apple is probably lining up for a massive launch of the iPhone 5, Google’s new Ice Cream Sandwich operating system is planning to hit stores this October and now, Nokia and Windows are planning to roll out the new Nokia Windows Phone devices. An extremely exciting end of the year and needless to say, the consumers will be spoilt for choice. But, do you think one particular company will emerge the winner hands-down by the end of this year?
