Sharp Announces Aquos SH8298U

Sharp has announced yet another glassless 3D smartphone, the Aquos SH8298U. As a matter of fact, the Japanese electronics pioneer had launched Lynx 3D well before the likes of Evo 3D and Optimus 3D.

The Aquos is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor aided by the Adreno 205 GPU. On the memory front, it's equipped with 512 MB RAM and 2 GB of internal storage. Additionally, it packs a 4.2" autostereoscopic 3D display, dual 8 megapixel primary cameras for recording 3D content, and a 1240 mAh battery. The phone runs on Google's Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.

The Aquos SH8298U comes in red and white, and is available exclusively through the Japanese cellphone provider SoftBank. However, looking at the hype surrounding the 3D fad, it might as well see daylight in India.
