Will the next iPhone have BlackBerry Messenger?

The BlackBerry Messenger or BBM has been a BlackBerry-only messaging service, since its inception. The big wigs at Research in Motion have always insisted that this service will be solely for BlackBerry devices. However, according to a report by GSMArena, sources have revealed that the upcoming iPhone will have the BlackBerry Messenger Service. The source has revealed that Research in Motion will receive a lot of money for offering their messaging service to Apple.

With the announcement of the next Apple iPhone getting closer, rumours are coming thick and fast. Apple has not revealed any information about any of the specifications of the upcoming iPhone, however several rumours are floating around that Apple is set to release two iPhones, this year. The tech giant has always released just a single iPhone per year since the iPhone was launched in 2007. The two iPhones are rumoured to be called the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S. Technical details are very limited, but word is going around that the iPhone 5 will have an all new physical design and the iPhone 4S will be an amped up version of the iPhone 4. Both handsets are said to feature a dual-core 1GHz A5 processor and an 8 MP camera with 1080p video recording capabilities.

These are only rumours as of now, we may see just a single iPhone, come October. But, what is really interesting is the fact that Al Gore, Apple board member and former Vice President of the United States, letting it slip that ‘the new iPhones would be out next month.’ As of now we have to just wait and watch to see what Apple showcases at the event, which is slated for the first week of October, this year.

If Apple acquires the BBM service, how many of you will jump on to iOS? Or would you stick to BlackBerry? Let us know in the comments below.
