ESET launches Smart Security 5 and NOD32 Antivirus 5.

ESET, a brand known better for their security products for protection against cyber-threats have launched two of their flagship products for the Indian market - ESET Smart Security 5 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 5. According to an official statement released by the company, both of ESET's flagship products have been enabled with added functionalities, which include - ESET Live Grid, which according to ESET is a protection technology, delivering real-time protection, Removable Media Control, which gives the users more hold over external devices, helping them secure their systems against malware. In addition to this, states ESET, its Smart Security 5 technology comes with Parental Control, which allows the parents of young users to block sites with offensive content on them. Also, the statement mentions that parents can block as many as 20 pre-defined categories of content, and also set a separate 'role' for each user, which will have separate pre-defined categories, which can be further be enabled or disabled, while browsing.

Other features include - Advanced Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS). The HIPS feature, according to ESET allows users to tweak the behaviour not only of the entire system, as a whole but of each part, too. Yet another feature is called the Gamer Mode - a feature that automatically goes to the silent mode and disables all pop-ups to conserve the system resources. ESET has provisioned for its Unilicense feature, in both its flagship products. The official statement adds that the Unilicense feature lets users keep the same levels of protection across different operating systems that may be running on a PC at the same time.

Existing ESET users can upgrade their software to the latest version free, adds ESET. Further ESET states that its latest security solutions can be used by home and SOHO users, and is available across all retail outlets, as well as online on their website.
