Google+ is rolling out some new features to the social network before the New Year. The first of which is a feature that allows you to 'pump down the volume'. What this means is you'll be allowed to control your stream in a way, so you don't miss posts from people you care about. Your stream can sometimes be dominated by one user, making you miss posts from other users, but with the new feature you can "graphic-equalize". When viewing the stream for a particular Circle, you'll see a slider at the top, which will allow you to control how much that Circle is represented in your main stream.
Google has also worked on the notifications in Google+. In addition to changing up the notifications box, which fits in with the newly redesigned top bar, they've added sneak previews to the notifications list. This is because sometimes when you are notified about an activity, you can't be sure what it is until you see specifically what the notification is for. They've also added the ability to check the number of +1s and shares your posts have received, since you last signed in. Google+ has also followed Facebook's example of using a lightbox for pictures.
Finally, Google's changed up their Pages for brands and companies. Pages can now have up to 50 managers as administrators. They will also show an aggregated count of users that have engaged with pages, either by +1’ing it or by adding it to a circle.
