Google launches Schemer, competes with Foursquare.

Remember Foursquare, the location-based social networking site that allowed users to search for the best eateries in town, stay connected with their pals, among other things? Google was, all this while, working on something similar and it has come up with its own - Schemer. Signing up for this service is still in its invite-only beta period; hence if you do want an invite, you'd have to click on the 'Add me to the Waitlist' tab in red below. Once you specify your e-mail id and your location, you can expect to receive your invite mail.

According to an official post on Schemer, "Whether it’s exploring a new city, checking out a friend’s movie recommendation, or just finding new activities for your weekends, Schemer lets you discover new things to do, share schemes with friends, and make the most of your day." Have you signed up for the service, yet? Let us know your views on it in the comments section below, alternatively you pay the site a visit, here.
