Huawei releases ICS update for its flagship, the Honor.

Huawei has become the first non-Nexus manufacturer to have got Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to its flagship device, the Huawei Honor. Well, it’s still in BETA right now, but that’s definitely some good news for all those Honor users, out there. The Chinese company has officially posted the ROM of the update on the Chinese version of its site. Also, they’ve placed the Gingerbread ROM up on the site as well, for users who might find the ICS update a little buggy for their liking and want to revert back to the older version of the operating system.

It’s a 148 MB file, and Huawei has mentioned that though it’s a BETA version, it’s stable enough for daily usage. The Honor runs on a 1.4GHz processor and has a 1900 mAh battery powering it. It’s 10.9 mm thin and weighs 140g.
