Kindle Fire comes to India at Rs.13,900.

Tradus.in has announced the availability of Amazon’s latest tablet, the Kindle Fire, for India. Touted to be the potential iPad 2 killers, solely because of its pricing, the Kindle Fire runs on a dual-core processor and an undisclosed version of Google’s Android operating system. Tradus.in have priced the Fire at Rs.13,900, and it can be purchased directly via their website.

The tablet has a 7-inch display with IPS switching technology at a resolution of 1024 x 600 and works as both a media consumption device as well as a tablet. It supports movies, apps, games, music, and obviously reading along with Amazon's new cloud-accelerated, Silk browser. The Kindle Fire is currently selling at $199 in the U.S, so the pricing isn’t too far off, considering the tablet will be imported. The main USP of the Kindle Fire is the additional content you get from Amazon’s library. We’re not too sure if that content will be as freely available for Indian audiences as it is in the U.S, at present. More information on the Kindle Fire is available on Amazon’s website.

Here’s a lowdown on the specs of the Kindle Fire:
