HP launches world's first Wi-Fi mouse.

While we’ve always had wireless mice, they’ve been limited by a few things. Bluetooth has a certain range under which it can perform fine, anything more and you’ll probably need to use Wi-Fi. HP has now launched what is the world’s first Wi-Fi mouse, being called the HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse. The Wi-Fi mouse works without the need of a dongle and can use a Wi-Fi module inside a PC or notebook. HP claims that the mouse can operate from as far as 30m from the PC. The mouse has five customizable buttons that can be used for all kinds of functions, such as cut, paste, undo and redo operations. There’s also a 4-way scroll wheel that can be used to scroll pages sideways and vertically.

HP also claims that their mouse can stay charged for roughly 9 months, as compared to other Bluetooth mice that offer four months battery life under standard test conditions. Priced at Rs. 2,999, the HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse is roughly in the same price bracket as other high-end gaming mice.
