London the only BlackBerry 10 handset, no Colt and Milan coming.

Back in October, it was rumoured that Research in Motion’s upcoming superphone was the Colt. However, later reports indicated that instead of the Colt, the first handset from BlackBerry’s hybrid OS – BlackBerry 10 was going to be the BlackBerry London. At the time, an image had also surfaced giving us a glimpse of what the handset would look like. From the image, it looks like the Canada-based brand is set to adopt a Porsche-like design for this handset. In December, a report by BGR indicated that the brand was set to launch another handset along with the London, which was supposedly called Milan. However, as per a recent report by the same website, it appears that RIM have terminated plans to launch both the Colt and Milan and instead, stick with just the London as the only BlackBerry 10 handset for now.

Sources have informed the website that the Milan was not a BlackBerry 10 handset, but instead was a handset running on the present BlackBerry OS 7. The report details that carriers did not want to launch a handset that was similarly designed to the Torch, at this time, hence BlackBerry will launch only the London. The handset will feature a slightly different design as compared to the design that was leaked in November. Here is a quick glance at the specifications of the upcoming BlackBerry London:

1.> BlackBerry 10 OS
2.> 3.7-inch touchscreen
3.> 1.5GHz TI OMAP dual-core CPU
4.> 1GB RAM
5.> 16GB internal memory
6.> 8 Megapixel rear camera
7.> 2 Megapixel front camera
