Sony launches new Google TV devices, remote.


Sony has announced two new Google TV devices at CES: NSZ-GP9 Blu-ray player and NSZ-GS7 media streamer (network media player). Both these devices come with a band new remote with backlit keyboard, and a touchpad with gesture navigation support. Sony NSZ-GP9 Blu-ray player will be launched in the summer; on the other hand NSZ-GS7 media streamer will reach the stores in spring.

Apart from the usual Google TV 2.0 software, these devices have tighter integration with the Sony Entertainment Network and feature support for streaming content from smartphones as well as tablets.

The new Network Media Player and Blu-ray Disc Player are scheduled to launch from early summer 2012, starting with North America and Europe and plan to expand into other countries and regions.There is no word on the pricing or the detailed specifications of these products.
