Bitdefender launches one click cloud storage for PCs and Android.

Bitdefender, one of the popular providers of antivirus solutions have announced the launch of their new software, called Safebox, which is their new state-of-the-art storage solution that allows PCs and Android users to sync, store and share files with a single click. Bitdefender Safebox giving users 2 Gigabytes of free cloud-based storage capacity and premium users, as much as 60 Gigabytes, has been touted as one of the easiest and fastest way to share, sync and save files in the cloud.

Safebox allows seamless synchronizing across PCs and Android phones, and can be used from my.bitdefender.com as a web interface. It will also soon be available for the iPad and the iPhone. With Safebox, Bitdefender is trying to eliminate the days of losing files to system crashes or other problems, along with the days when users couldn't share files because they were too big for e-mail attachments. "With just a click, users can sync, store and share documents with any number of friends,"Cosmin Sandu, Product Manager at Bitdefender said, "Throughout the product design and beta testing, we emphasized user convenience and ease of use. Safebox offers a perfect solution to prevent data loss as well."

With Safebox, users can synchronize multiple folders, automatically create a back-up of files, whenever they are changed, share files of any size and preserve earlier versions of backed up files. At the same time, Safebox guards the privacy of users' files by encrypting them when they have been uploaded and when they're stored on the remote servers. Safebox for Android can be downloaded from the Android market. More information on their upcoming software and apps is available here.

With everything shifting into the cloud, this software does make a lot of sense, if you’re using a smartphone and want to keep data between your PC and smartphone synced and shared. We’ve already been extensively using cloud storage and syncing solutions, but what about you guys? Have you’ll made the change yet?
