If Skype and Google Hangouts don't offer all the VoIP communication you need, here's another option on the horizon. It's called FriendCaller and it works across iOS, Android and the web through a browser. It is operated by C2Call GmbH, a company based in Germany. The program supports group calling with upto 4 person video calls and 6 person audio calls. The company says that they currently have 6.5 million users and that the service turns your mobile device into a "fully integrated video calling app". The service also has a "Call Me" link, which allows your friends to call you at no charge (sort of like collect calling). The service provides texting world wide and charges nothing for FriendCaller to FriendCaller calls. It provides users with a real phone number as well as low cost VoIP to landline and mobile device calls. The service has multi-lingual support for iPhones and iPads.
The service will soon add a rich media messaging feature, so users can send their friends and family their location information, images, audio and video from a media library pretty quickly. The way it works is, whenever you dial a number from your mobile device, you have the option to use the service provided by your wireless network or by FriendCaller. You can create groups, have a voice or video call and start messaging your contacts, altogether. The service seems interesting as an almost all-in-one solution for VoIP communication.
