Carzonrent's Easycabs mobile app lets you track your taxi.
Carzonrent released the Easycab mobile app back in December. The app allows you to book a cab wherever you are right from your mobile device. The app was made available for BlackBerry, Android, Symbian and iOS-based devices and had a special, low-energy WAP site for Java based phones. Carzonrent has updated the Easycabs mobile app to include two new features. One, when a customer has booked a cab through the Easycabs mobile application, they will be able to use the app to track their cab and monitor them on a real time basis. Customers will be able to stay indoors as long as they need to, especially when it's hot outside. This is also an extremely helpful feature for women who may have to work late or who are going out in the late evening alone. They can monitor their cab and stay indoors till their cab arrives.
The other feature that the Easycabs mobile application has been updated with is the ability to get live traffic feeds. This feature is powered by traffic information provider, Traffline.com, to allow the Easycabs mobile app user to get an idea of what the traffic situation is like on the various routes that they might take and choose or change a route accordingly. The Easycabs mobile application is available to smartphone users in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Android users can download the application from Google Play, BlackBerry users from the App Worldand Symbian users from the Ovi Store. However, after much scouring the iOS App Store and Google for the iOS app, it seems to be hidden in a secret corner.
The application seems especially useful in cities today where public transport is dauntingly difficult and taxi strikes are almost more frequent than an actual available taxi. With the addition of the cab tracker feature in the application, commuting might not only be a little more pleasant, but also a little safer. Of course, you're booking a private cab which makes the process a little more expensive. Do you use the Easycabs mobile application? Is the extra expense worth it? Let us know in which city, in the comments section below.
