my1login: A Wonderful Online Password Storage Service.

While signing up for a new online service, it is always wise to set a different password then the passwords you use for other services. But remembering so many different passwords can be problematic. There are online services that remember your passwords after you install their browser plugins but plugins might slow down your browser. Here to offer a speedy solution is a service called my1login.

my1login is a free to use web service that helps manage your passwords online. After you create an account on the site and activate it through the link emailed to you, you can begin adding websites to your account as bookmarks. These bookmarked sites are the ones that you have accounts. With each site you add, you can specify your username and password; optionally you can add notes and tags with the bookmark. The bookmarks you create can be shared with friends. Next you drag the service’s bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmarks toolbar. Whenever you are on a bookmarked site in your browser and are asked to login, simply click on the bookmarklet and you shall be automatically logged in.

In case your bookmarks include email accounts, a summary of the emails in your inbox can be quickly seen within the my1login interface. The number of unread emails or notifications in case of social networks is indicated in front of each bookmark.

The site can also be used to generate strong passwords. Smartphone users can visit the site and use its mobile version.
