PlanOn System Solutions Inc., one of the scanning and printing solutions for the mobile professional, has announced the launch of ScanStik, the world’s smallest full page colour scanner. Pen-sized, fast and easy to use, ScanStik is one of the most compact, sleek designed full page colour scanner available on the market. It’s ideal for scanning on the go, at work, home, or school – and according to the company, is like an “Office in a Pocket.” Unlike other pen-sized scanners that only scan a line at a time, the light-weight ScanStik scans the whole page at once just like a flat-bed scanner, but without the bulk. For even more convenience, ScanStik also features a MicroSD memory slot that holds thousands of image scans from 150 to 600 dpi resolution in colour or black and white.

ScanStik features a ‘click and scan’ fast function, that scans a full page in just 4 seconds. After scanning, the user needs to plug ScanStik into the USB port of his computer to transfer, recognize, organize, and edit scans with the included ABBYY FineReader SE and PaperPort OCR Software. PlanOn’s CLC (Crystal Line Contact) image technology aims to produce superior image quality for better presentations and OCR accuracy. ScanStik also includes a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, which charges ScanStik via the computer’s USB slot, so you never have to worry about needing new batteries or buying a charger – and it’s also better for the environment.
