The Kindle device has long been in need of a dedicated application that transfers documents from your computer to the Kindle device. But since this can be done simply through Windows, such an app would need extra features to be noteworthy. These ‘extra features’ have certainly been added into Amazon’s new app titled “Send to Kindle.”
Send to Kindle is Amazon’s free desktop application to help Kindle owners transfer documents from their computers to their devices. The app’s setup file is sized at nearly 5MB and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and 7. With the app installed you can right-click on documents or a selection of them and use the context menu to send files directly to Kindle. In case your device is not connected to your computer, the files are saved for synchronization later.
Supported documented files include .DOC, .DOCX, .TXT, .RTF, .JPEG, .JPG, GIF, .PNG, .BMP and .PDF. The app also adds a new virtual printer that can send virtually anything you can print to your Kindle device by first converting it into a PDF file.
Features:
1.> A user-friendly desktop app.
2.> Compatible with Windows.
3.> Helps send documents to Kindle.
4.> Does not require Kindle to be plugged into computer.
5.> Supports a wide range of document formats.
6.> Adds a virtual printer to send any prints to Kindle for reading.
