Nokia has not revealed the price of Nokia 808 and it doesn't have a tie up with buytheprice.com for pre orders.
Nokia 808, which will come with a massive 41 megapixel camera, is expected to be launched around the first week of June, and its price will be revealed during that time, only contradictory to reports that it is available for pre-orders through buytheprice.com for Rs 32,000.
A Nokia India spokesperson said to The Mobile Indian, "Nokia has not revealed the pricing of Nokia 808 and we don't have a tie up with buytheprice.com for taking pre orders. We will be launching Nokia PureView 808 in the coming few days and Indian consumers will know its price only then."
Nokia PureView 808 smartphone features a single core 1.3 GHz mobile processor, with 512 MB RAM. Nokia has added a big 41 megapixel camera with the latest camera technology, jointly developed by Nokia and Carl Zeiss, which is called PureView. With f/2.8 aperture, the 41 megapixel camera has Xenon flash and promises 7728 x 5354 pixel images in 16:9 format.
Nokia 808 will come with Nokia Belle feature pack 1 operating system and Dolby Mobile Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback. Nokia has packed a 1400 mAh battery which promises 11 hours of battery life on Edge and 6.5 hours on 3G.
With the new PureView Pro imaging technology, the company has managed to use a technique of over-sampling for crystal-clear and noiseless 5 megapixel images. Imaging capability is further aided by the graphics processing unit (GPU), which uses a special algorithm to combine seven pixels into one better pixel. The camera also supports up to 4x digital zoom without compromising on quality. It captures full 1080p HD videos at 30 frames per second with up to 3x zoom; while for 720p HD resolution one can go up to 6x zoom.
