Kobian, one of the companies involved in computer peripherals and tablets, has announced the launch of the Mercury 3G Mobile Router, which provides Wi-Fi connectivity to 6 devices with the push of a button; helping them browse, chat, surf and stay connected. Users need not connect to notebooks or laptops as the router is supported by rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which lasts for 5 long hours. It has a broadband speed of 7.2 Mbps and is a pocket-sized, light-weight device independent of platforms.
The card-sized Mercury 3G Mobile Router is pretty light and can be carried in one's pocket anywhere for instant connectivity. With just the flick of a switch, the 3G Mobile Router can easily be switched between the modem and router modes. In the modem mode, 3G Mobile Router acts as a dongle and provides Internet connectivity to the host through USB. In the router mode, the dongle will turn into a 'Hot-Spot' and serves as a router providing Internet access to six different devices.
The Li-ion battery helps it to be host independent and provides a power backup of 5 hours to enjoy uninterrupted work or entertainment. The 3G Mobile Router provides a broadband speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and supports all GSM providers. With Wi-Fi connectivity, the 3G Mobile Router forms a good fit for SOHO, students and home use without creating a mess of cables around. Sushmita Das, Country Manager - India, Kobian Pte Ltd., said "All our ranges of products are feature rich, user friendly, stylish and lighter on the pockets. Why should one pay for 6 dongles when the same internet connectivity can be achieved through a single Mercury 3G Mobile Routers.
