ASCIInator: Create ASCII Art From Images

ASCII art is pretty awesome. Creating an image using only what is on the keyboard takes a lot of time and skill. However, with ASCIInator, you can use images on your Android device to create awesome ASCII images easily, and without spending hours trying to set it up yourself. It’s a cool application, and best of all, it is available for free on the Android Marketplace.

You can choose an image that is already stored on your device, or you can snap a new one within the application. It’s a new way to look at photography on your Android device, and quite frankly, it is a lot of fun to play around with.

The resulting ASCII image will be saved to your device in text format, which you can then do whatever you like with. It’s simple to use and only requires a couple of taps on the screen of your device. You can choose whether or not you want it to display to the original image and the ASCII image side by side, so you can compare the final product.

If you are looking for a fun way to mess around with your pictures, this is a great choice.

Features:

  • Create ASCII images on your Android device.
  • Free on the Android Marketplace.
  • Save output to text format for later use.
  • Can use with a new image or one already on your device.
