HTC has already started working on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the One series- One S and One X.
HTC has started working on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update development for its One series smartphones. According to the software update list of Australia cellular major, Telstra, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is being developed for HTC One XL (One X's International version) and One S devices.
This means even One X will be getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Both these smartphones have been launched in last three months and by default run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. However, there are no fixed dates or estimated time of arrival promised for these smartphones.
Since HTC adds the Sense user interface on the phones, the actual period from development to public update would take a while.
Not to forget that HTC is already in the process of rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for its existing non-One series devices.
Only the Google Experience Devices - Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7 will be the first of the many devices to get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for other devices will be released throughout the year 2012-13.
