The 10 inch version of Micromax Funbook is now available along with free Tata Photon+ Dongle.
Micromax Funbook Pro, the 10 inch version of Funbook, is now available in the market for Rs 10,990, but is being sold by Snapdeal for Rs 9,999 along with free Tata Photon+ dongle. The tablet comes with 1 year warranty.
The features of the tablet include 25.6 CM (10.1) capacitive touch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution. The tablet is based in Android 4.0.3 Ice-Cream Sandwich operating system, which runs on a Cortex A8 1.2 GHz processor.
The tablet comes with a large 5600 mAH battery which is necessary for a larger screen. However, it supports only Tata Photon+ dongles for high speed data.
The tablet comes with 1 GB DDR3 RAM which is good for a low cost tablet like this. You also get 8 GB inbuilt memory and support for 32 GB micro SD card. There is also a HDMI port and a 0.3 megapixel camera in the front.
Micromax is one of the first well known Indian brands to come with a 10 inch tablet and given that the pricing is very attractive, as is always the case with Micromax, it is likely to attract a lot of buyers.
Just like the previous version, Funbook Pro is targeted towards student community with an app platform, called as Vriti, to source study material from. Besides, the tablet is also capable of playing HD movies as well.
