Samsung's flagship Android smartphone the Galaxy SIII has received yet another software upgrade following its global launch. The software update that is being rolled out OTA (over the air) misses out on the list of upgrades or the change log that the upgrade will bring to the device.
As notified by various users globally the upgrades adds a brightness control option to the notification menu allowing users to toggle brightness without entering the device setup. The first upgrade rolled out ever for Samsung Galaxy SIII promised improved stability, but the company is mute about the inclusion of upgrades this time, and as usual the change log for the device is also missing.
Users will get an update notification on their device following which they can download the upgrade right to the device without the need for a PC or software. The upgrade seems to be geared towards device stability and performance; the package containing data worth 72.68 MB cannot be for controlling brightness alone.
If you haven't already been notified of the upgrade, you can manually check for it in the Android settings in the menu. The update's availability and size will vary depending on the country and carrier. If the upgrade is not available right now it might be arriving soon.
