Sony working on Xperia J with Android 4.0 ICS

Sony Mobile is readying yet another Xperia NXT series device, dubbed as Xperia J, which will run Android 4.0 ICS.

Sony Mobile is preparing yet another mid-range smartphone under its Xperia NXT series line and will brand it as Xperia J. The new Sony Xperia J ST26i smartphone may come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on it. Carrying the same Xperia NXT physical design, the Xperia J will arrive with 4-inch touchscreen display and house a 1 GHz mobile processor inside it. The UnwiredView spotted listing and images of the Xperia J.

Sporting what appears to be a 4-inch display, the Xperia J will support 480x854 pixel resolution natively. Under the hood, it is expected to house a 1 GHz mobile processor and 512 MB RAM.
The Xperia J is expected to arrive with Android 4.0.4 ICS and anything lower than that would be a disappointment. The back is white coloured and there is no more the green coloured Sony Ericsson logo but only the Xperia text. There is a camera with LED flash at the back as well.

As of now there is no confirmation about launch dates of the Xperia J nor there is any hint on the pricing. We expect this smartphone to launch in the third quarter of this year alongside the Xperia S successor, dubbed as Xperia SL.
