While browsing the web, there are a lot of things you find that you might wish to save for later. These can include online articles, bookmarks, etc. You can also use separate applications to store lists and tasks. Storing all of this information across different services is not very convenient as it has you jumping from one site to another. Here to help is a website called Thinkery.
Thinkery is a free to use web service that lets you store all sorts of things in an organized web interface. You can use the service to store your tasks, copied pieces of text, URLs, and anything else you want. You start by creating an account on the site and dragging its bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmarks toolbar; alternatively you can use the Chrome extension or one of the mobile bookmarklets offered by the service.
When you are on a website, you can copy a piece of text and click the bookmarklet to send the text to your account. You can click the button without selecting anything to send the website to your account. Tasks can be added by going to the site and adding them from there. With each entry you can add tags and notes for fuller descriptions.
Other features of the app include the ability to import generic bookmarks or import bookmarks from Instapaper or Delicious.
Features:
- A user-friendly web service.
- Lets you store websites and online articles for later reading.
- Lets you store copied pieces of text to your account.
- Offers a Google Chrome extension in addition to the bookmarklet.
- Can import papers from file, Instapaper, and Delicious.
