Google Drive: The Next Big Thing In Cloud Storage

Nowadays, everyone wants to store their files in the cloud. The cloud offers many conveniences such as the ability to get access to your files anywhere and free up space on your local machine by having the files not stored on your hard drive. It took a while, but Google is finally ready to throw themselves into the cloud storage game with their latest product called Google Drive.

Google Drive allows you to store your files in the Cloud and access them anywhere you go. You can view them on any computer or on your Android device. Soon, you will be able to use on your iOS device as well. All new users to the service receive 5GB of free storage. If you would like to upgrade to 25GB, you can do so for less than $2.50 per month.

Just like Google Docs, Google Drive offers real-time collaboration. You can share files with exactly who you want and edit them together. You can upload files to your Google Drive using the free desktop application or through your web browser. While the features are pretty standard as far as cloud storage goes, having it through Google is nice. After all, we all use Google anyway, so it makes sense to use them for our cloud storage as well.

Features:

  • 5GB of free cloud storage for Google Drive users.
  • Upgrade to 25 GB for less than 2.50 per month.
  • Supports Android – Will support iOS soon.
  • Real time collaboration.
  • Works with Google Docs to have everything in one place.
