With the news that the popular photo sharing site Instagram has been bought by Facebook, many users are angry and upset at what the future may hold for their favourite app. So much so that many users are now actively looking to find credible alternative sites to place their pictures. But before they can do that, they need to get their pictures out of Instagram. In the absence of an official app from Instagram, a Mac app called InstaBackup may end up saving the day.
Simply download the DMG file to your Mac computer, install it, then open it. Log in with your Instagram credentials, choose the folder on your computer where you want the photos to go, and the app will instantly start retrieving your Instagram photos for you, onto your computer. You can then move the photos to whatever alternative site you want.
This no-frills app is free and simple to use. It does one thing and does it very well. It’s just a pity that there is no Windows version.
Features :
- Log in with your Instagram credentials and download your Instagram photos to your Mac computer.
- Move the photos to an alternative photo sharing service.
- Free and easy to use.
