Lava to launch Android 4.0 based tablet soon

The WiFi only, 7 inch tablet will have a 1.2 GHz processor, 4 GB internal memory, 0.3 megapixel front camera and 3G support through dongle.

Lava is all set to launch its Android 4.0 based tablet called E-Tab Z7H. The device gets a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

It has a 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. It only has a front facing VGA camera and 3G support through dongle. There is a 2800 mAh battery as well.

S N Rai, co founder and director of Lava International, told The Mobile Indian, "Lava has tied up with Flipkart and Tata Croma for the retail sales of the tablet". Though he did not disclose any other details he said more information about the device will be made public in the next three days.

In terms of specifications, the tablet seems to be very basic with average processor speed and a small battery.

However, Lava is yet to make the tablet official and therefore we do not know if there is any other special feature in the tablet that will differentiate it from the other tablets in the market.

While the tablet is already listed on Flipkart as coming soon, the price has not been disclosed. However, if there is no special feature in the tablet, we expect it to cost less than Rs 6,000 (probably Rs 5,500).
