If you had believed there are more than two colours in the Samsung Galaxy S III line up, then this recent post by TechnoBuffalo comes as confirmation that Samsung indeed has a black version of the handset.
A few days ago, images of a Samsung Galaxy S III clad in black had surfaced on the brand’s official Facebook page. This sent enthusiasts into a tizzy and prompted speculation that a third colour variation was just around the corner.
A post by Mobile Phone Blog stated, “We’re happy to announce that Mobile Fun will be stocking the Samsung Galaxy S III sim free… in black! As far as we know, we’re the first to announce a price and release date for the new phone. The new colour scheme looks fantastic when paired with the S3's sweeping curves and thin frame, with a subtle texture that looks fantastic as you move it in the light”. Mobile Phone Blog quoted this with reference to only the UK, but the recent post by TechnoBuffalo states that the United Kingdom will not be the only country graced by this version, and that it will arrive in the US as well.
As per the report, the author Todd Haselton stated, “The black Samsung Galaxy S III is headed to the United Kingdom in 4-6 weeks, but now it appears the phone will make its way to the United States, too. T-Mobile’s website currently has a small rotating platform that displays several of its most popular and powerful smartphones that it offers. However, about 30 – 45 seconds into the clip there’s something we haven’t seen from T-Mobile before: a glossy black Galaxy S III. We’ve included the image above (and below) for your enjoyment and have reached out to T-Mobile USA for official comment. This could be a mistake on the part of the web design team, or it could mean we’ll be seeing the smartphone pop up soon”.
With Samsung having an incredibly strong market in India, it would only be fit that the brand launch a black Samsung Galaxy S III here as well.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is a direct competitor to the upcoming iPhone, and having another colour under its belt will allow potential consumers to opt for this option if the blue and white options were not cool enough for them.
Here is a quick look at the highlighted features of the Samsung Galaxy S III.
