PixelWindow : Take Screen Measurements In Pixels

If you are a website designer, you might have come across other sites and been impressed with their layouts. To find out more about their layout, you might have needed to measure the elements on the page in pixels. Here to help you perform those pixel measurements with ease is a tool called PixelWindow.

PixelWindow is a free to use desktop application with different versions for Mac, Windows, and Linux. The Mac version of the program is available from the Mac App store and is sized at nearly 8 MB. After installation, the app gives you a semi-transparent ruler that can be reshaped to measure whatever it is on your screen that you need to measure. The pixels can be read off the semi-transparent ruler.

Features:

  • A user-friendly desktop app.
  • Has versions for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
  • Helps measure pixels of elements on screen.
  • Pixels can be read off a semitransparent ruler.
