Sony’s next tablet to carry Xperia branding, feature Tegra 3, 9.4-inch display

The details of Sony’s upcoming Android tablet have been leaked at XDA Developers forum. According to the available information, which seems to be a part of company’s internal presentation, Sony will broaden the Xperia branding to include tablets as well.

The new tablet will be the first Xperia tablet. It will feature the same 9.4-inch 1280x800p display, which was part of Tablet S, company’s first Android tablet. However, it will have the newer Tegra 3 processor on-board.

Xperia Tab will also come with 8MP rear camera, 1MP front camera, 6000 mAh battery and a much thinner wedge shaped design.

These leaked slides also seem to indicate the pricing of this tablet – 16GB at $449.99, 32GB at $549.99 and 64GB at $649.99.

On the hardware front, the tablet will have splash-proof aluminium body, which is just 8.8mm thick at the thinnest point.

There is no word on the release date right now.
