Videocon launches four new budget phones


Videocon has added four new low-budget models to its stable of feature phones. The company launched V1531+, V1542, V1548, and the V1580, out of which the V1542 supports dual-SIM and dual-standby feature. The V1548 and V1580 sport touchscreen displays, whereas the other two models feature a bar form factor with a T9 keypad.

These models were introduced keeping in mind the taste of the current breed of cellphone users, and come pre-loaded with social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter. The phones also support playback of multiple audio and video formats. Though internal memory has never been a point while purchasing a budget phone, all these models support external memory expansion via microSD cards. Other common features of these new models are LED torch, FM radio, microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

Let's take a look at each of these models in detail.

The best feature of the V1531+ is its price. The phone is priced at Rs. 1,850, and comes with a 1500 mAh battery, and claims to have upto 10 hours of talktime. It also has unlimited auto call recording support. Key features of  the V1531+ are:
