In October last year when Apple IPhone 4s was launched it was launched at exactly the same price at what IPhone 5 will be made available.

Apple has unveiled the thinnest and lightest iPhone, the iPhone 5, at an event in San Francisco, USA. It is a completely redesigned gadget from Apples's portfolio with a new 4-inch Retina display; an Apple-designed A6 and the latest operation system iOS 6.

However, Apple will make iPhone5 available to consumers in USA at the same price as its predecessor iPhone 4S. So the 16, 32 and 64 GB versions of iPhone 5 will be available for $199, $299 and $399 respectively.

The iPhone 5 in the first phase will be available in the USA, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK from September 21 for which customers can pre-order their iPhone 5 beginning Friday, September 14.

In the second phase, iPhone 5 will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries on September 28, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Though announcement about the launch of the phone in India has not been made, it is expected that iPhone 5 will be made available in the country around November. Even iPhone 4S was launched in the same phased manner when it was unveiled in October last year.
