The app store will be renamed as Windows Store and will get an improved navigation and a new look.
After Nokia, Microsoft has now renamed its app store from Windows Marketplace to Windows Store. But it is not the only change as the PC giant has introduced a host of changes to the app store as well.
The new Window Phone Store sports a few improvements designed to make it easier to find apps and games from mobile devices. The search service is now provided by Microsoft's very own Bing search that will ignore minor typing errors.
The online Windows Phone Store not only clarifies application labels, but now comes with some new browsing options. In the store, for example, users will now see Top Free and Top Paid section. The renamed and improved New+Rising list is not only refreshed more frequently, but takes into consideration how quickly an app is being downloaded. Overall, the new Windows Store offers better search results for the users.
The store now also takes in to consideration users' request pertaining to application so as to fight applications that concern the users.
There is lot in the horizon with the new Windows Store application store and starting now the transition has begun. Microsoft is rolling out these changes beginning with Australia and New Zealand, and in the weeks ahead gradually working over the way around the world.
