The Milagrow TabTop 10.4 comes with 9.7 inch IPS Panel display, 1.2 GHz ARM A8 processor and 1 GB RAM.
Milagrow has just made available its Tabtop 10.4, which is based on Android 4.0.4 ICS and is upgradable to Android 4.1 Jellybean. The tablet comes with 9.7 inch IPS display with screen with 1024x780 resolution and is claimed to be 'sunlight readable' by the company. The tablet is priced at RS 22,999.
The tablet runs on a 1.2 GHz, ARM Cortex A8 processor coupled with 1 GB DDR3 RAM and Vivante GC 800 -3D GPU. The tablet gets front and rear camera both with 2 megapixel resolution and face detection technology.
Milagrow has put in an 8000 mAH battery with claimed working time of 12 hours. It also comes with 16 GB onboard memory which expandable up to 32 GB through micro SD card, one can also plug in a hard disk drive of up to 2 TB provided the tablet is plugged in the mains. The tablet weighs 580 grams and is 9.7 mm thin.
The tablet supports English, Hindi and Tamil language. In terms of connectivity, the tablet supports WiFi, 3G through dongle and LAN through an adapter. There is also a HDMI port to connect it to a TV or laptop to share display.
The main attraction of this tablet however is its LG supplied screen which automatically adjusts its brightness to suit the surroundings and offers maximum brightness up to 400 cd/m2, (which we doubt will make it very readable in sunlight given that you need 800 cd/m2). Milagrow has also announced the Android Jellybean update for the tablet which it says will be coming soon.
While the price of the tablet for an Indian brand is on the higher side, specification wise, the tablet is feature rich and if the performance matched the specification, than it is a tablet that can be considered. However, the tablet priced at this level directly competes with Apple iPad 2 (16 GB WiFi only), which is not a good news for the tablet.
