In the first major announcement since its acquisition by Google, Motorola has added three new Android smartphones in its RAZR line-up. These smartphones are all new Motorola RAZR M, RAZR HD and Droid RAZR Maxx HD.
Featuring a 4.3-inch edge to edge display, Motorola RAZR M will come with dual-core 1.5GHz processor, Ice Cream Sandwich and 2000 mAh battery. Other specs of the smartphone include 1GB RAM, 4.5GB user memory, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera and front camera.
Motorola RAZR M and all other smartphones in the RAZR family come with Corning Gorilla Glass, DuPont KEVLAR fiber and a splash-guard coating.
Available in sleek black or stand out white colours, the Motorola RAZR M will be coming soon to consumers in several Asia Pacific countries. For those in the US, it’s coming to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network as Droid RAZR M by Motorola for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
Coming to the company flagship for the season – Motorola RAZR HD, it also features 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The smartphone will come with 4.7-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD display, 2530 mAh battery, Android 4.0.4, 8MP rear camera, front camera, 1GB RAM and 12GB of user memory.
Available in sleek black or stand out white, the Motorola RAZR HD will be coming soon to consumers in various countries throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Latin America. In the US, it will be available before the holidays on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network as DROID RAZR HD by Motorola.
The last of the bunch, Droid RAZR Maxx HD seems like an US exclusive, and it comes with all the same features of RAZR HD, but with a huge 33000 mAh battery at its core.
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD will be available before the holidays in black in the US on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
All three smartphones come pre-loaded with Chrome for Android and upgradable to Jelly Bean (available by the end of the year).
Motorola has also announced that the new devices will ship with an unlockable bootloader in countries outside US (where operators allow), while US consumers will be able to buy special developer editions of Droid RAZR M and Droid RAZR HD through motorola.com.
