It comes with 4.3 inch screen and 8 megapixel camera. Though it is not 4G compatible, it has very fast 3G support.
Nokia finally launched its Lumia 900 in the Indian market for Rs 32,999, a spokesperson of the company confirmed this to The Mobile Indian.
Nokia Lumia 900 is a non 4G version but will support download speeds up to 42 Mbps. However there is no network in India offering that kind of speed as the maximum speed available here in the country is just 21 Mbps.
Lumia 900 has a 4.3 inch Clear Black Amoled display with WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It is powered with a single core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8055+MDM9200 mobile chipset with 512 MB RAM and 16 GB on-board memory.
Nokia Lumia 900 also features an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. This camera can easily record 720p HD videos at 30 frames per second. There's also a secondary camera in the front for video chat which has been missing from both the Lumia 800 and the 710 handsets.
The launch seems to be a bit late given the fact that Nokia has already announced the next version of Lumia phones - Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, featuring Windows Phone 8 OS, which Lumia 900 will never get.
Though it will never get Windows Phone 8 OS, the phone will get upgraded to Windows Phone 7.8 with features similar to WP8 and Nokia is also trying to bring in features like City Lens (augmented reality) app to older phone like this one to bring it at par with the new launches.
