The launch of new Lumia devices is just a step in the journey and Nokia does not plan to quit anytime soon.
Since the time of the launch of Nokia' Lumia range of Windows Phone devices there had been a lot of speculation that since the business is not so good Nokia might be thinking of a counter strategy for the brand. With the launch of the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones many believe that it is Nokia's last chance with Windows operating system; that things have not worked out this time and that Nokia might also revert to Symbian. But as it turns out, contrary to popular belief, Nokia has no plans to quit Windows anytime soon. Nokia is committed to making more Windows Phone devices in the times to come.
While talking to the telegraph UK, Nokia's senior vice president of smart devices, Ms Harlow, said, "This is a step in the journey. This characterization that it is the last step is not reality. These are two devices; they're not all the devices that we'll base on Windows Phone 8. This is our strategy and it's a journey; there's not one moment in time that defines everything."
Nokia has made it clear that whatever speculations and rumours there are regarding Nokia getting out of the Windows business is nothing more than a rumour. Even though business has net been very good for the Finnish mobile giant in recent times, especially in contrast with other popular devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 4S there are still hopes that the new device will certainly do well for the brand.
Adoption of technologies like PureView imaging, Nokia's mapping application and many such innovations has made a difference, but the serious lack of applications on the Windows platform itself has restricted many users form moving to it.
