Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, and Dell have announced a partnership to launch a bundled broadband offer for customers in India. Under this alliance, customers buying Dell laptops will get a Tata Photon Plus post-paid connection at a special price, ensuring connectivity across India while using the laptop.
Commenting on the announcement, Deepak Gulati, Executive President, Mobility Business Division, Tata Teleservices Limited, said: “Through this partnership, customers will enjoy Dell’s high-performance and cutting-edge products, along with DOCOMO’s trusted and seamless connectivity through the Photon Plus device, ensuring an unmatched browsing experience”.
Commenting on the tie-up, Mahesh Bhalla, Executive Director and General Manager, Consumer, Dell India, said, “This alliance helps us in enabling our customers to pursue their passion through technology, and allow them to have an always connected lifestyle with ubiquitous Internet connectivity”.
The offer entitles customers purchasing a Dell laptop to a Tata Photon Plus mobile broadband (CDMA) connection at a special price, with the first month of usage absolutely free. The partnership will be subsequently extended to include Tata Docomo’s 3G products as well. Customers will also get benefits such as choosing their own personalised usage limits. Dell offers this bundle to laptops buyers in 150 major towns and cities across India.
The partnership will leverage tools to simplify the customer acquisition process for both users and channel partners. A dedicated customer care wing will address customer requests and queries, cutting down on lead times, and resulting in a better after-sales experience.
