Google delays launch of Nexus devices

Due to hurricane named Sandy, Google's event has been delayed until further notice

Google's next big Android event that was going to take place on the November 29 in New York has been cancelled as the city has been hit by a hurricane this time.

Google has sent out emails to the invitees apologising for the cancellation saying, "We are canceling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more. Stay safe and dry, The Android Team." So this means that Nexus fans will certainly have to wait for a few more days to lay their hands on the next generation of Nexus devices.

Google was expected to announce the launch of Google's next in line Key Lime Pie operating system and the Nexus device based on the new age operating system during the event. As per the rumors, at the Google's event there will be launch of not just one but three entirely different products under the Google Nexus brand. But with the current situation, there is no information as to how longer things will have to be delayed.

As expected earlier, the LG Nexus 4 surely is one of the Nexus devices which was to be launched during the event. Besides, Google was expected to show a 7 inch tablet with calling functionality and a 10 inch Nexus device during that event.

The 7 inch tablet, according to reports, is none other than the Asus Nexus tablet that was launched couple of months back on Android Jelly Bean. Google is expected to re-launch it with integrated 3G connectivity. On the other hand, the 10 inch tablet would be from Samsung which might hold a few surprises too.
