The tablet is feature rich with FM transmitter, GPS, Android 4.0 OS, Bluetooth, WiFi and HDMI connectivity and 1Ghz processor.
iBall, an Indian IT and mobile brand, has launched an Android 4.0 based 7 inch dual SIM 3G tablet. The new iBall Slide 3G 7334 tablet is priced at Rs 10,990 and is claimed to be the first dual SIM tablet in India. The tablet also comes with built-in FM Transmitter (you can create your own FM station in a very small area like home or car) which is again a first for a tablet in India.
The tablet runs on Cortex A9 1GHz Processor. Another special feature is the 3G support with both the SIM slots (normally in phones only one slot supports 3G while the other works on 2G). RAM and battery capacity was not shared in the release and we are awaiting the response from the company on that.
The tablet has a 2 megapixel camera at both front and back. The 7 inch multi-touch capacitive screen of the tablet comes with a healthy 1024x600 resolution. There is also built-in GPS and AGPS which makes it a great car accessory especially with the addition of FM transmitter.
The tablet also has Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, micro SD card slot and HDMI port as additional connectivity options.
Sandeep Parasrampuria, director of iBall, said, "We are heartened at iBall to present yet another innovation and latest technology for the Indian consumers with the launch of iBall Slide 3G 7334. It happens to be the first tablet PC with two firsts. One, it is the 1st dual SIM and two it is the 1st tablet PC to have FM transmitter function.
It is packed with HD screen, dual camera, Bluetooth and GPS to give superb experience and makes the gadget one of the most exciting as well as value for money to the users."
Feature and price wise, this tablet has incredible value. However, all will depend on performance and quality. If iBall even manages to offer mediocre but consistent quality and performance this tablet is well worth every penny of what the asking price is.
