iBall, an Indian IT, mobile and tablet brand has launched a new Android 4.0 tablet called the iBall Slide i9702. This new tablet comes with a 9.7 inch IPS screen. It is the first tablet in the budget range to have an IPS panel display. IPS panel screens offer wider viewing angles as compared to normal screens.
The tablet features a dual core 1.5 GHz processor coupled with a quad core G400 Mali graphic processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The specifications on paper indeed look powerful.
The new iBall Slide i9702 has a 2 megapixel camera both at front and at the back. It also gets a big 8000 mAh battery with claimed backup time of over 7 hours. It has an 8 GB built-in memory expandable up to 32 GB with a micro SD slot.
For connectivity, besides WiFi, USB on the go and a host port it has 3G through USB, and an HDMI port for connectivity to projectors or TVs.
The tablet has been priced at Rs 14,999 and if performance matches the spec sheet then this is not very expensive and is well worth the money in terms of features.
Otherwise, Micromax Funbook Pro with a 10 inch screen is priced at Rs 9,990 only.
