Google has started pushing the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update over the air for the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Motorola Xoom (WiFi) models.
Google has finally started pushing out the Android 4.1.2 update over the air for some devices. The devices that would be getting this over the air (OTA) update are Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Nexus S, and the Motorola Xoom WiFi model. The Nexus 7 tablet was the first device to get the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.
Google had some time back itself announced the Jelly Bean update for the Google Experience Devices first. Google Experience Devices are the ones running vanilla Android OS version without any third party customisation.
Motorola Xoom and Nexus 7 are tablets while the other two are smartphones. The new Android 4.1.2 over the air update first arrived for the Nexus 7 tablet and it is an incremental update.
Now the Motorola XOOM (Wi-Fi), Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus devices will receive about 15.1 MB Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA update on their devices. The update is being rolled out phase wise so Indian consumers need to wait for a day or two till the OTA update shows up.
