Lumia 510 comes with low end specification like an 800 Mhz processor, 256 MB RAM etc.
Finnish handset manufacturer, Nokia today announced the launch of its much anticipated 4 inch display based Lumia 510 smartphone. Unlike, other Lumia smartphones, it comes with low end specifications and also is based on Windows Phone 7.5 and not the Windows Phone 8 operating system.
Though Nokia has not revealed its price, it is expected to cost less than Rs 11,000. Also, it will be available in India in next two weeks in red, yellow, cyan, white and black colours.
The Nokia Lumia 510 comes with a 4 inch display with a resolution of 640x480. Currently it is based on Windows Phone 7.5 but is upgradable to Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 5 megapixel autofocus rear camera, 800 Mhz Qualcomm processor, 256 MB RAM, and 4 GB of internal memory. It accepts only micro SIM cards though.
It will also come with Nokia's applications like Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Transport. Besides, Lumia 510 will have Windows Phone features like Live Tiles, People Hub which brings together contacts and updates from across social networks into one location, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer 9.
Moreover, Airtel users would get 500 MB 3G data for free with this phone for three months. It will also come with a three month unlimited Nokia Music and MixRadio offering. Through MixRadio, consumers can stream music directly to the phone, with the ability to listen to personalized radio channels, including offline listening.
Commenting on the launch of the Nokia Lumia 510, Director and head, Smartphone Devices, Nokia India, Vipul Mehrotra said, "Nokia Lumia 510 is out Diwali gift to the Indian youth, as it has been designed specifically for markets such as Indian and offers them a fund and personal way to enjoy Windows Phone."
