After an unconfirmed leak from Microsoft’s Czech Republic office, The Verge is now reporting that Microsoft Office for Android is coming in May 2013.
What is more interesting that Verge adds that Office app for Android will be free and allow viewing of office documents similar to other office suites available in Google Play. Users however will need a Microsoft account to access the app.
The report also suggests that basic editing functionality can be enabled on the app using Office 365 subscription.
There are no other details available at this point.
Microsoft has already officially confirmed that Office for Android app is coming, but has not revealed any other details including the time-schedule of launch.
