The Asha 309 offers a full touchscreen experience with WiFi
Nokia has announced the availability of its new Asha 309 smart feature phone in India for Rs 6,349. The Asha 309 phone comes with a full touchscreen experience on the Asha operating system which is based on Nokia S40 operating system and has been specially developed for better performance and features than other Asha series devices.
The Nokia Asha 309 comes with single SIM, 2G network connectivity along with additional WiFi connectivity for faster internet browsing. While on the move users can make use of the EDGE data connectivity for faster data access too.
The Asha 309 is equipped with a 3 inch capacitive LCD display with 240 x 400 pixel resolution and a proximity sensor which automatically controls the display while the user is on a call. The devices support up to 32 GB expandable memory and feature 128 MB of internal memory which is further complimented by its 64 MB RAM memory.
The Asha 309 comes with a 2 megapixel fixed focus digital camera with zoom and video capture capability at 10 FPS in Qicf resolution, There's a video player, music player, and FM radio as well on the device to keep the users entertainer while on the move.
The Asha 309 also comes with pre-installed Nokia Xpress browser, which enables up to 90 per cent more efficient mobile browsing and faster access to rich web applications compared to conventional browsers by utilising server side compression for web pages.
The users will get a complimentary gift of 40 popular EA games for the device worth Rs 2,700 which can be downloaded free of cost and enjoyed on the device.
The Finnish handset maker had launched serveral phones under its Asha series including the Asha 200, Asha 302, Asha 305, Asha 309, Asha 308, and Asha 311.
Nokia had last month launched its Asha 308 and Asha 309 handsets out of which the dual SIM variant, the Nokia Asha 308 was released in the market earlier this month.
