Responsinator: Check Website For Responsive Design

For the past couple of years, web design has seen a trend towards mobile versions. One standard that has been developing is responsive design, which allows websites to automatically scale to all platforms, orientations, and resolutions. Responsinator is a web app that tests your website design on different resolutions and orientations. This allows you to check the responsiveness of your web design.

Responsinator works by calling the URL of your website and loading it into different-sized frames. These frames simulate iPhone and iPad resolutions, Android devices, and the Kindle Fire. You can also view the designs through the different orientations. This tool becomes doubly useful with a bookmarklet that allows you to quickly check any website using Responsinator with one click.

Responsinator is a great app for budding designers who want to learn more and test their responsive designs from one browser. It would also be great if it can simulate different user-agent strings to fully test your website. Even so, Responsinator is a welcome free utility for any web designer.

Features:

  • Load webpages into different screen resolutions.
  • Tests the resolution-independence of your website design.
  • Supports iPhone, iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire resolutions.
  • Every frame loads into one page.
